The BMV-712 is Victrons latest evolution of their ever popular BMV range of battery monitors. The BMV-712 has the added benefit of integrated Victron Smart technology; which implements Bluetooth (as in many other Victron Energy products) – giving wireless communication between various products. Victron Smart technology simplifies system setup, monitoring and firmware updates using the free VictronConnect app. The shunt is equipped with a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor. *For VictronConnect settings, go to the FAQ tab under "What settings do I need for a lithium battery?"

What settings do I need for a lithium battery?
The "Battery Capacity" section is variable depending on what size battery you have, but all other settings should be as displayed in the photo, unless advised otherwise. If you have any questions about the setup or need help with the app, please give us a call on 08 6205 6868.
We set at 12.5V and clear at 13V and 20% SoC
clear at 30% (leave high voltage/soc turned off)
We recommend setting to reset to current state if charge
So if you flatten your battery the shunt will start back at zero not full
