CELLS

AllSpark Batteries are only manufactured using brand new, premium quality A-Grade large format prismatic cells.  They have market leading high current ratings and very long life expectancy.  All AllSpark Battery LiFePO4 cells are 3.2V connected in series in banks of 4, 8, 12 or 16 to achieve 12, 24, 36 or 48V.  With cell continuous discharge ratings of 200A and peak output of up to 500A, you can be assured of a high performing battery to meet your high current demands.

Cell interconnecting Busbars are multi pass laser welded with more than 1" of weld per busbar connection to make them bullet proof on corrugations.

Each AllSpark Prismatic cell has integrated safety mechanism to protect your vehicle in the extremely unlikely event of a cell fault:

Special Notes about AllSpark LiFePO4 batteries Cycle Life:

Independantly Laboratory tested with 0.2C5 Discharge rate and 0.2C Charge rate up to 5000 cycles at a controlled temperature of 25°C.  Electronic logs record during testing show a residual capacity in excess of 85% of name plate C5 capacity after 3000 cycles.  In real world conditions, the user will experience a range of temperature, current and voltage conditions which may effect the actual performance of the battery over its life.  Lower depths of discharge % and high continuous charge and discharge rates will reduce overall cycle life.  It is feasible to reach end of battery life within the warranty period should the battery be exposed to daily extremes of high current and or high temperature every cycle. Think of this type of scenerio like driving your car at 5,000rpm in first gear everywhere you drive.  It can do it, but it is not good for longevity and ultimate performance and will wear out pre-maturely.

Q: What is Current In/Out Net Value?
A: The Net Value is all the charge sources minus all the loads

 

Q: How do I store my AllSpark LiFePO4 battery?
A: If you plan to have your batteries in storage for extended periods of time, disconnect/isolate any loads or parasitic power consumers. Charge/Discharge battery to 80% State of Charge. Battery can then be stored for up to 12 months. If storing for longer, re-charge to 80% SoC every 6-12 months.

 

Q: What do I do if my AllSpark LiFePO4 battery goes flat?
A:
 If you discharge your battery to 10.0V, it will go into Low voltage protection mode.  This will disconnect all loads and the battery voltage will show as 0-3V.  When in LV protection, the BMS disconnects power to the battery terminals.  

Most chargers and Solar controllers cannot wake up a LiFePO4 battery from LV protection if they don't have a power supply mode but with our AllSpark Bluetooth BMS, you can simply turn the battery back on via the App and start charging normally.

 

Q: Is this battery certifed for use in Caravans?

A: Yes - AllSpark batteries are not only compliant, but are actually "Tested" and "Certified" for compliance with IEC 62616 standards (see downloads for certificate).  Many sellers of LiFePO4 batteries in Australia claim to be "compliant" with the IEC 62616 standards, but have never actually had them tested or hold any certification for this compliance.  Self claiming compliance with a standard without 3rd party certification is not only misleading, but is fraudulant advertising practises.

 

Q: Does this battery comply with Australia/New Zealand Standards? Can I install them inside my caravan?
