This 120ah 24V AllSpark LiFePO4 battery can be discharged safely by 80%, meaning that it is equivalent to nearly a 200Ah AGM yet weighs less than half the weight. With it’s exclusive BMS, developed by Offroad Living, this battery has 175A continuous output and 320A surge, allowing for the running of a 4000W Inverter on a single battery. Maintenance free with 2000+ life cycles, this battery is the perfect option for those serious about 4WDing, camping or caravanning.

OFFROAD LIVING IS NOW STOCKING PROJECTA, ENERDRIVE, REDARC, BLUE SEA AND VICTRON for package deals - contact us to discuss your needs.
NB. These are true deep cycle batteries and are not suitable as cranking batteries. They are the best quality & best value LiFePO4 batteries in Australia.
Q. Can these batteries be used in parallel or series?
A. Yes. You can have up to 4 x 120ah batteries in parallel, and 2 batteries in series. It is important to fully charge each individual battery to 100% prior to connecting in a parallel or series battery bank. To ensure longevity of your battery, and balanced voltages (not just in the cells inside each battery, but in each individual battery pack) you should disconnect each battery from the bank and recharge to 100% individually once every 100 cycles/3 months.
Q. What charger do I use for these batteries?
A. (NB. We are authorised resellers for Redarc, Projecta, Victron, Enerdrive and Ctek, contact us for a quote). The charger I would recommend really depends on what solar panels (watts and voltage) you have (or plan to have) and whether you prefer to have a multi input unit or individual standalone units. The Victron Smart Solar MPPT Solar Controllers are an excellent choice if using solar only to charge your batteries, but are more designed for multiple solar panel set ups. If just using a single panel or blanket, then I would recommend our extensive range of EP Solar Tracer Series MPPT Solar Controllers, available in 10A, 15A 20A or 30A sizes, and come pre-terminated with Anderson Plugs, ready for plug and play connection. These are fully sealed and waterproof, with no moving parts.
If you are looking for a DCDC charger to charge from alternator and solar, then the Enerdrive ePOWER DC2DC+ unit has a 50A output when charging from your alternator, or can handle 600W through the built in MPPT solar controller. It can take a maximum of 35A of solar input using 20Voc panels but can take 12v to to 48V nominal panels, doesn't have a 240v charger.
The Redarc Manager 30 has MPPT, alternator and AC charging in 1 unit. There is no real limit to the solar input, but the unit will only use 520w of solar during charging. Realistically most fixed solar panels will produce around 80% of their max current anyway so you could have up to about 650W plugged in.

Q. Do these batteries have cell balancing?
A. Yes these do have internal cell balancing which is controlled by the BMS. During manufacturing of all brands of LiFePO4 cells you will always get some level of differential impedance even in cells produced in the same manufacturing batch. The BMS monitors the individual impedance and state of each cell of each and ensures each cell obtains the same max voltage during charging.
Q. Do these batteries have a high and low voltage cutout? Or is external protection required?
A. The BMS also controls the very low voltage cutout and disconnects the cells at 10.0V. Likewise, if any cell was to reach 2.5V it would also disconnect the cells to protect them from damage from excess discharge. If you want to protect the cells by disconnecting essential or non-essential loads from the battery at a particular pre-set or adjustable voltage point to maximise the life cycles of the battery (which is highly) advisable. There are a number of options for this. I recommend Enerdrive or Victron units depending on the application and current disconnect requirement (contact us for pricing on these units).
